From an old Olympus to a life behind the camera
My story with photography started in a pretty simple way, when my father gave me his old Olympus camera.
I started experimenting with it, taking photos without really knowing where that curiosity would lead. Years later, it had grown into something much bigger.
I started working in a camera shop as a salesperson and technician, where I learned photography from another side — not just how to take a photograph, but how cameras, lenses and equipment actually work. My first serious camera system was Nikon, and the technical knowledge I gained during those years still influences the way I work today, but photography alone wasn’t enough. I had always wanted to explore.
Joining a mountaineering club introduced me to the outdoors and made me realise how much there was to discover beyond the places I already knew. Travelling to different countries and experiencing new landscapes and cultures pushed that feeling even further.
Then came Jordan — a turning point for me. Seeing completely different landscapes, people and cultures made me realise that photography and exploration belonged together.
I didn’t just want to photograph places.
I wanted to experience them, understand them and tell their stories through images.
Where I am today
More than 10 years later, photography has taken me from landscapes and night skies to weddings, businesses, properties, travel projects and personal photoshoots.
Based in Chania, Crete, I work with people and businesses who want more than just a collection of photographs. I want to create images that have a feeling behind them — photographs that make you stop, look again and remember something.
I also work with video and drone photography, allowing me to approach a project from different perspectives and create complete visual stories.
I’m still learning. Still travelling. Still experimenting.
And honestly, that’s one of the things I love most about photography.
There is always another place to discover, another technique to learn and another story waiting to be captured.
If you have a project, an idea or simply a story worth photographing, let’s create something together.
